Overview

UIT University (UITU) is established vide The University Act, 2017 of Government of Sindh. The University is the culmination of thirty years of progressive and successful operation of the Usman Institute of Technology. Currently, the programs are offered in the four departments namely, Engineering, Computing Sciences, Management Sciences and Engineering Technology. Social Sciences Department provides support with the humanities, basic and natural science courses.

Specific Skills

• Strong record of teaching, research, and administration.
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and abilities.
• Familiarity with the accreditation processes of different regulatory bodies, academic program development, fund-raising and grant writing.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• PhD qualification from an accredited institution and meet HEC criteria for the appointment of Professor.
• Over 15 years’ relevant professional and teaching experience with at least 5 years of proven academic leadership experience as a Provost or Dean (or higher position) in the higher educational institutions (HEIs).
